Wat doet deze crisistijd met de kunstenaar?
Ik was heel benieuwd hoe (andere) kunstenaars deze bizarre tijd ervaren.
Wat voor kunst maken ze in quarantaine en wordt hun werk ook beïnvloed door het coronavirus?
Ik vroeg het aan Hagar Vardimon (Happy Red Fish) en deze persoonlijke gastblog was haar antwoord.
"Very strange times.
I felt and still feel very restless. It's overwhelming, and I'm trying to keep my head up.
Keeping my creativity became more challenging than I've
imagined.
In the beginning I thought that staying at home the whole day
will bring long days of making art. I was wrong.
Some days were good, others less but the commission works that
are still coming are grounding me.
My art work is for sure influenced by the Corona and the new
reality.
The uncertainty and the isolation, the masks and older people
waving through the windows those feelings and images are going to stay with me.
On the bright side, being together as family gave me strength
and comfort.
Knowing that we are all together safe inside."
